Champlain College Continuing Professional Studies Professor Allyn Kahn, of New Port Richey, FL, online instructor of math, statistics, philosophy and critical thinking since 2000, has received multiple awards for the puzzle he developed to help his chess students improve their decision-making. Student Chess Awards
The East Lake Knights won many top Team and Individual trophies including top 5th and 8th grade trophies in the St. Petersburg, FL monthly scholastic chess tournaments. (2009-2016)
The Suncoast Chess Camp chess team won monthly St. Petersburg Team Championships from 2009 through 2015. Two of the players pictured above won first place in the K-12 tournaments while still in middle school. The other two won second place in separate K-12 tournaments.
